PRESENTATION

Designing for users imagination in e-commerce

TALK SUMMARY

During my user interviews, I noticed that the word ‘imagination’ came out very often while talking about the online shopping experience. I investigated how different types of personas perceive a product page and how imagination can shape their decision-making. The talk will focus on the research findings and how UX can satisfy the users’ imagination creating a personalised online experience.

AUDIENCE TAKEAWAYS

  • How UX research should focus on understanding users expectations in online retail

  • Make the experience more than just imaginary

  • Understand when a product needs to be inserted into a real context to help users during their online shopping
